Wrapping up the first week at Salvage Goods

We made it through! What an amazing experience!

Coming in cold

We all came into this venture with a common theme, we all love the art of picking and treasure hunting but that is where it ended. We took on a very established business without much training or build up. To say we came in cold would be an understatement! What we found though was an amazing community of people that came in and out of our doors! Connecting with the customer base and sharing memories and good stories was the bonus I don't think any of us was prepared for. The customers is truly what makes Salvage Goods a living breathing entity.

Our first mini event

Right out of the gate we want to make Salvage Goods different than any other store similar to it. In fact it is our goal to make it something nobody has seen yet and we are confident we have the team to make that happen! We planned and executed our first little "Picking Wars" event on our first Saturday here. This was held between 7-9pm and included complimentary wine and customers ability to come up front and haggle on price in a fun spirited way. This is only the beginning! We have plans for bigger community events, more robust "wars" and even Picking Wars on the road!! Oh and the court yard in the back??? WAIT! Wait to see what we have planned for that area for the community we reside in... big things are coming!

A success story

With the first week under our belt we are learning and adapting to your needs and wants, we have listened! We continue to make small improvements to the space to make it something still recognizable to our established customers but also something dynamic and fun.. so many small significant changes to come from history lessons to design elements! Come visit often to see what's new.. we will try to make it so that you never walk into the same place twice! We all here at Salvage Goods owe our first week of success to you, the community!
