Handsome vintage commemorative mug or stein from the Boswell Brewery/Talon Brewery, Quebec, Canada, circa 1930, the half-liter mug of buff stoneware with underglaze blue decoration, approx. 4.75 in. tall, the underside impressed "3, Fait en Allemagne [Made in Germany]." In excellent condition, with no cracks, chips, or crazing.The side of the mug features a large image of the Talon coat of arms and the legends "Canada's First Brewery, Founded by Intendant Talon, Under Royal Charter of Louis XIV in 1668" and "Boswell Brewery, Quebec, Successors to the Talon Brewery, 1930."
